Vague project descriptions give hiring managers nothing to evaluate. Every entry should include budget, timeline, team size, and outcome. "Led £3.2M ERP migration over 14 months, 4% under budget, zero critical post-launch defects" is a complete project statement. Estimate conservatively if you don't have exact numbers.
For PM roles, PMP, PRINCE2, and CSM are often listed as requirements. Don't bury them at the bottom. Put them after your profile, or include them in your header name line. Hiring managers scan for these before reading your experience.
Many candidates list projects they contributed to without clarifying their role. Use language that makes ownership clear: "I led", "I delivered", "I was accountable to the steering committee for". This distinction matters — especially at senior levels.
